Meet Doctor Pelto

Dr. Donald Pelto, DPM is a board-qualified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon at Central Massachusetts Podiatry in Worcester and Westborough, Massachusetts. He holds staff privileges at UMass Memorial Medical Center and St. Vincent Hospital, where he collaborates closely with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care.

During college, Dr. Pelto shadowed physicians across a variety of medical specialties. Podiatry stood out because the podiatrists he worked with were consistently engaged, fulfilled, and passionate about patient care. That experience played a key role in his decision to pursue a career in podiatry.

What a nice friendly reassuring office visit. I am on my feet a lot - a retired surgeon now a woodturner. I was seen at Central Mass Podiatry 14 years ago. I had done well but developed some issues with my feet recently. They were able to schedule my appointment quite quickly. The staff was friendly and paperwork quite brief. Dr. Pelto’s MA was friendly and curious. We obtained new X-rays of my feet and the wait for the doctor was short. I had known Dr. Pelto for more than 15 years as a colleague and friend, but this was the first time as a patient. He relaxed me, rapidly diagnosed the issues, modified my shoe inserts, trimmed plantar calluses and measured for new inserts. My feet have significant wear and tear, but we have a plan and I left reassured that there is a caring provider helping me with my feet. I would strongly recommend this practice and the caring providers for patients who want a caring competent and down to earth practice.
